ADHD

We treat the whole patient, not the disease

Cleveland, Ohio ADHD Treatment

For over 25 years, we’ve had the privilege of helping thousands of kids across Northeastern Ohio understand and adapt to their ADHD diagnoses.

The KEY to living with ADHD is to DIG for the root cause! In our clinic we have a saying… “We don’t guess – we TEST!”

We look at FOODS! We look at NUTRIENTS! We look at TOXICITIES! We don’t beleive in a one-size-fits-all, cookie-cutter approach.

While many health clinics simply throw medication at ADHD symptoms, we have seen much better results from taking a more natural, holistic approach.

What Is ADHD?

Attention Deficit Disorder (ADD) and Attention Deficit Hyperactive Disorder (ADHD) are brain disorders that are typically diagnosed by a pediatrician or psychologist in childhood. These conditions are characterized by the inability to concentrate, restlessness, and impulsiveness. These behaviors may first be reported by teachers or parents who are wondering how to calm down active kids.

While there is no one cause of ADHD, current scientific research suggests that it has several underlying causes.

Food sensitivities, gut dysfunction, nutrient deficiencies, heavy metal toxicity, mineral imbalances, and low protein / high carb diets can all play a role in a child developing ADHD.

The Most Common Symptoms Of ADHD Include:

  • Hyperactivity
  • Lack of Concentration
  • Impulsivity
  • Easily Distracted
  • Unorganized
  • Inattentive
  • Forgetfulness
  • Fidgety
  • Makes Careless Mistakes
  • Talks A Lot

How We Are Different?

The Highland Wellness Center sets itself apart from other ADHD clinics in Cleveland, Ohio by prioritizing finding the root cause of a patient’s symptoms. Each patient is unique, so we take the time to explore and understand them as an individual.

For over 25 years, we’ve been helping kids with ADHD and behavioral challenges. We’ve found that FOOD TESTING is one key component to identifying the root cause of symptoms.

We may look into food sensitivities or intolerances to help reduce inflammation, and we may also address vitamin and mineral deficiencies that could be having a negative effect on a patient’s health.

By removing foods that cause sensitivities or intolerances, we are able to give the DIGESTIVE SYSTEM a much-needed break. There is a strong correlation between gut health and ADHD.

By testing for food sensitivities, we are also testing the immune system. Identifying and eliminating intolerances gives the immune system a chance to rest.

The most important aspect of food testing is creating an opportunity to reduce INFLAMMATION in the brain.
