Take care of yourself... mentally, physically, emotionally.

In the last few months, so many of us have been feeling frustrated and restless. If you have been feeling this way, you are not alone. Many years ago, I felt similarly. I was feeling really stuck in my business and personal life. I needed to do something to shake up the way I was thinking. A friend introduced me to a course called “The Artist’s Way” by Julia Cameron. It is a self-paced course that invites you to take a look at what brings you joy by remembering your personal creativity. One of the activities to go on a date with yourself.

I do worry about people’s mental health in these times. I worry about people feeling like they have no choices to be able to go out in fresh air or do anything fun. I worry that people are giving up on their health because they think they can’t do anything for the immediate future so they eat the wrong foods and give up on exercise. I have heard this so many times in the last few months.

Today I decided to take a break and take myself out on a date. I turned off my computer and my brain and took myself out for tea. What a glorious hour!

Taking that course actually shaped the way that I practice. As a result, I have created a program that focuses on individual self-care – mental, emotional and physical issues. In our practice, we are helping people break that cycle by using a combination of conventional medicine and mind-body techniques to help treat the whole person in a new way.

We practice a different type of medicine that focuses on the underlying cause of the problem you are experiencing. We do it by teaching and training you on how to change your lifestyle and your habits. Stress reduction is definitely part of the treatment plan.
