Don't feel like you 'need' to slow down?

Perhaps, as you are reading these posts about preparation and relaxation, you’re feeling like it doesn’t apply to you. Perhaps you don’t think you need to relax. It’s not really your thing. You might be one of the people that feel they only need 5-6 hours of sleep each night and that you don’t have any problems or health concerns. Maybe you are someone that doesn’t nap or rest during the day, ever. Instead of resting you feel restless.

Let me first share with you that I understand how you feel. I have had so many practice members that shared that same sentiment with me. What I try to help them understand is this. Relaxation is important to do on a regular basis. Not making time to relax or sleep, and continuing to push yourself for months and years at a time that is what creates disease. A decade of inadequate rest in your 30’s creates hypertension, weight gain and pre-diabetes in your 40’s or 50’s or 60’s.

I know that we attribute those things to getting older or our genes, BUT the number one reason for symptoms is more to do with the nutrient deficiencies that are created from pushing ourselves past our normal limits and our bodies compensation for the extra work, until the just can’t compensate any more – that’s when we notice disease. It’s when we notice our energy level has decreased or we’ve gained weight slowly or quickly. It’s when we go to the doctor and we used to be “healthy” and now we are diagnosed with diseases like high blood pressure, high cholesterol, obesity and the like.

It is unfortunate that we don’t connect how important relaxation is to our health until we get sick. The good news is we can reverse our illnesses due to stress and lack of relaxation. We start by finding out what nutrients we are missing and how out of whack our stress hormones have gotten. With the right approach, we CAN put them back into balance. This is how we get results with our patients that they have not been able to get on their own. We use our proven step-by-step approach to show them how to get their health back.

Come to our next dinner seminar or orientation session and learn how we can teach you how to get your health back too.

To Your One Sweet Life,

Dr. Dae
